The Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum was founded by Max Adler on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois in 1930 and is believed to be the longest-operating planetarium in the Western Hemisphere. Located on Chicago's Museum Campus next to the Field Museum of Natural History and the Shedd Aquarium. The Adler has two full-size planetarium theaters.
