This novel for youths (ages 12 to 15 is the recommended audience) centers around twins Cilla and Tina, sisters who aren't close. This book has won children's awards in both Sweden and Germany and is based on a factual story of Kinna Gieth, who lost her twin sister at a young age.

Newberry Honor author and illustrator Tomie de Paolo has crafted this children's book chronicling the adventures of the Barker Twins, Morgan and Moffat. By the way, the Barkers are dogs and the girl dog, Moffat, was born ten minutes before her twin brother, Morgan. This is a really cute and well-illustrated book that we highly recommend as a perfect first-day-of-school book for your twins in the 4-7 age range.
The Barker Twins return in this level 1 reading picture book in which Morgan and Moffat switch roles and the usually bossy Moffat now has to let his brother Morgan be boss for a day!

Some online reviews warn the book is a little dark (the "bad twin" is pretty bad), but the book was written by award-winning children's author Reid-Banks ("The Mystery of the Cupboard").

A 1998 children's book with two very different twin sisters as the title characters--Lil and Nelly. As different as night and day, the two twins pool their talents for a school project with good results. The book's author and illustrator came up with the concept after meeting a friend's young fraternal twins who were quite different and hearing that no children's book dealt with fraternal twins who weren't like their sibling. So he came up with this neat story which is a great gift for young twins who are different from their twins!
