Review: Girlybaby Handbands

by Nancy Cozzi

When I first discovered that one of our twins was going to be a girl, like any typical mother, I looked forward to be able to put bows in her hair, her having cute toddler pigtails, cute little baby barrettes…the whole nine yards.  So far it was not to be: my darling girl, even at 18 months, has very minimal hair (to be polite).

So when the opportunity arose to review Girlybaby handbands, I jumped at the chance.  I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I’ve been asked if I had two boy twins, even though Sophia would be rocking the pinkest of the pink dresses you could find.  In my sleep deprived brain, I chalked this up to the fact that she hardly had any hair.

The headband I received in the mail was purple with a huge daisy that had a dragonfly in the middle of it.  Very stylish and most importantly, Sophia was pretty pleased to wear it.  The cloth on the headband is not irritating to the skin (she has sensitive skin) and the headband stayed on her head until she took it off of her own accord.  The material is stretchy, so I imagine that these headbands are one size fits all.  I commented to my husband that these headbands are perfect for baby and toddler girls with no hair but I truly think they are adorable for any baby and toddler girl!

In addition, we also received a baseball cap that reads “My Twin Rockz”.  My son Luke was the model for this hat and it was a little big on his head but he enjoyed wearing it and it looked cute on him.  Definitely something he will be able to keep for the long haul to grow into, providing his sister doesn’t steal it first.

Girlybaby is running an August and September special for Twinstuff.   You can buy any items over $75.00 and receive free shipping to anywhere in the US and Canada.  There is also $20.00 off of international shipping.  Girlybaby also makes tutus and is running a special buy 1 tutu set and get the 2nd set half price.

In addition, they have crochet headbands and cotton headbands for $10.00 each and hair clippies for $5.00 for a set of two.  For the Twinstuff sale in August and September you buy 2 sets and a receive a free set.
